Just wish it would have stayed green!

I have had this hose for 5 years now. Probably one of the best hoses that I have ever had. I have some shorter ones of the same one and all have performed almost perfectly. My only issue with my 100 foot version, is that it is completely black now. Not sure if it is mold or something else. You can scrape off the black to see the green but this would take forever on a 100 foot hose. Hoping that the sgorter versions do not do the same. Otherwise I would have given it 5 stars.

    Best Hose I’ve Owned

You know you’re getting old when you get excited about a new garden hose. But seriously this thing is good. I replaced a big heavy kink-prone hose with this one and it’s made a big difference. I swear a lot less now when I’m hauling the hose around. I also like that it’s (supposedly) safe to drink from as well based on the different layers inside the hose. We all drank out of the hose as a kid, and perhaps that says a lot about how messed up our country is now. But that aside, it makes me feel better about letting my kids drink from it now. The color is kind of obnoxious but it also makes it very easy to find in the grass. I haven’t rated it for durability since I’ve only had it for a few weeks. We’ll see how it holds up this summer.

Great Quality, but a vinyl smell?

I love the product, but I get a vinyl smell in the water from time to time and it has got better (or lesser?). I don’t drink from the hose used for the regular water, two are for flushing black tanks on a RV and the other is for the regular water. I am surprised my wife didn’t pick up on it, but like I had said we do not use it for drinking. The hose DOES say it is safe for drinking water, so I am a little confused with that claim.Again, I gave all the stars because it meets or exceeds what my uses are for this brand of hose.

Great short hose for emptying gray water from teardrop trailer

As recommended by experienced trailer owners, this short little hose did the trick … we added it to the water filter we bought to get fresh water into our water tank on a teardrop trailer – we leave it attached and in the “Fresh Water” accessory filter and hose bag (we also have a separate “Gray Water” hose accessory bag – we have no black water to deal with) … the fluorescent green makes it easy to see so you don’t leave it behind … did the job we bought it for!

    very flexable

I like this hose. The kinks work themselves out as I pull it around. Not too sure about durability as I just started using the hose but it does seem tough. I’ll probably buy a couple more.

    Wonderful Water Hose

I’ve been searching for a flexible, non-kinking water hose for months. I have a degree in horticulture so i spend a lot of time gardening and in my yard. This hose does not kink, it is easy to work with and made well. My only advice is to let the hose turn in your hand as you are pulling it across the yard. It twists on its own to keep from kinking. Allow this twisting motion and you’ll love this hose like it do!

    Flexilla is the best

I use flexilla air hoses, now I found a garden hose from them. Flexilla hose does not kink, super flexible, extremely durable. If you want a product that will last Flexilla is it, these products will not disappoint.

Nice hose, but what a color

Nicely flexible, carries water just great. Color screams I’M YOUR HOSE – HERE I AM, in real life, more like the fluorescent safety vest color that what it looked like on-screen. I’m not sure what the point of making it this color is. If you want something to tuck discretely behind some landscaping, this is not the hose you are looking for. OTOH, you probably aren’t going to run over it with your mower because you didn’t see it.

    Quality but frustrating

Nice hose, fair price for excellent build quality but……I find it irritating. Every time I take it on/off the holder it wants to twist and twist and twist! If you don’t work with the twisting to straighten it out, it gets hung up or kinks when looping it o er the holder

    Great purchase

I love this water hose. I got the 100 ft one and it works great. Does not get tangled or kinks in it. I purchased the nozzle to go with it and the combo looks great together!

Poor quality PVC hose with high PHTHALATES, quickly develops BLACK MOLD

. TL, DNR ; hyperbolic claims of the hose material, which is basically PVC ; contains high levels of phthalates toxic to hormonal function ; invaded by ineradicable black mold after few months of use ; unfriendly warranty, absolutely distrustful of the customers. UPDATE. By April 2023 none of the health risks have decreased, and remain a matter of concern. __ SOURCE. These OEM hoses are made by an East-Asia plastics company with facilities in both Taiwan and China, which has also been listed in the past as a buyer of recycled plastic scrap. They are sourced by the retail labeller Weems Industries Inc. (IA), doing business as Legacy Manufacturing Co., and sold under their Flexzilla brand. MATERIAL. The hose material is described as a hybrid polymer, and has three layers. The hose polymer components are not disclosed, including those of the innermost layer, which is touted as safe for water drinking. As described below, a Flexzilla hose analysis by a professional laboratory found in all three layers a high concentration of multiple additives used to make PVC flexible (phthalates), indicating the hose has large amounts of PVC in all layers. Thus, the hybrid polymer, which is no longer touted as a “premium” one, is just only a PVC compound. WATER SAFETY. In general, a non-PVC hose is much less likely to contain toxic contaminants (such as heavy metals, flame retardants, or phthalates) than a PVC hose, particularly if the PVC were recycled. I could not find verifiable evidence supporting the sales pitch that these hoses are safe for water drinking. Neither the Legacy nor the Flexzilla website provide such an evidence at the time of writing this update. Despite that, when replying to a query about water potability on the Customer Q&A section, Legacy claims “the hose meets or exceeds the standards set by the National Sanitation Foundation” (amzn.to/2LCiKT6). That foundation is a testing/certifying group that took the name NSF International more than 30 years ago. At the time of this update, the NSF website does not list Flexzilla, Legacy, or Weems among those companies with NSF-certified products. Now, since Legacy’s claim might have meant that the hose was tested by a third party for compliance with NSF water standards, I did a further web search for NSF/ANSI/CAN-61 test reports of Flexzilla hoses over the last decade. I did not find any. Alas, what I found was the _Garden Hose Study 2016_ of the Ecology Center (Michigan), which tested many hoses including a 50-ft 5/8″ Flexzilla, whose material is listed simply as PVC. Multiple phthalates were found in all layers of the hose. Contrary to Legacy’s touts of safety, the hose was rated “HIGH” for phthalates, and received the negative evaluation of a “high overall level of concern” [see my figure with these test results]. This is very bad news to those planning to use a Flexzilla garden hose for water drinking, watering vegetables and, especially, letting children play with it. PHTHALATES. Phthalates are chemicals used to soften the PVC’s vinyl and make it flexible (plasticizers). These additives are soluble in water and do not bound to the vinyl, so they can easily leach from a PVC hose into the water of those drinking from it, in particular if the hose were heated up by the sun. Like BPA, which is also used in vinyl production, the absorbed phthalates can disrupt hormonal function, affecting children (both in utero and born) and adults. A decade after the 1999 EU’s ban of phthalates, finally several phthalates were *prohibited* in the US (15 US Code §2057c) above 0.1% in products for children under 3 years of age and in toys for children under 12, and some other phthalates were provisionally *banned*. Canada adopted similar restrictions in 2011. The reason for this prohibition is that a child’s exposure to phthalates may increase the risk of asthma, IQ/neurological disorders, and pubertal breast changes in both boys and girls. These chemicals are considered a risk of male genital defects during fetal development, and testicular dysgenesis syndrome and reduced sperm counts in men. A 2018 report from the American Academy of Pediatrics found that BPA and phthalates put children’s health at risk. All products sold in California containing any of six phthalates –as well as a number of other harmful substances– must display the Proposition 65 Warning : “this product contains one or more chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm.” Legacy’s reaction to Q&A queries about phthalate presence in the hose has ranged from simply ignoring them, as for a 2014 query (amzn.to/3cbugD9), to answers bordering on fraudulence, as in its 2017 reply claiming that the Flexzilla hose is “phathalate [sic] free” (amzn.to/2D5xQjT), even though the Ecology Center study had already been published the year before. Given that phthalates leaching from the inner layer will mix with the water output flow, and those leaching from the outer layer will accumulate on the hose surface, it is left to one’s imagination what is the exposure risk in the image Legacy shows here of a child (it used to be a toddler in a prior version of the page) drinking from a Flexzilla PVC hose held in his hand out in the sun. A number of notices of violation of the California Health & Safety Code have been filed against Weems or Legacy, or both, about the presence of toxic phthalates in their products. Despite Legacy’s familiarity with the Prop-65 warning, it did not disclose it on its different Amazon webpages for many years. Finally, perhaps relenting to criticisms of its non-transparent practices, in 2021 Legacy disclosed it as a “Legal Disclaimer” above the Consumer Q&A section of this webpage. And it was sloppily done — in 6/2021, the warning did not appear if the 100-ft hose were selected; in 7/2022, it did not appear for the 50-ft, 75-ft, and 100-ft hoses; and in 1/2023, it once more disappeared for the 100-ft hose. All length models of the hoses deserve the Prop-65 warning. BLACK MOLD INVASION. About 4 months after I attached the new hose to a reel (so it was kept dry off the grass or any other wet surface), it began to develop black mold. This is shown in one of my attached pictures (which was taken after rubbing the hose with a dry paper towel to remove dirt); the inset shows the same hose when it was installed. This fungal invasion is neither an isolated nor a rare case, as evidenced by the large number of reviews here complaining about it. Handling the moldy hose left sticky dark stains on my hand. A mold-invaded object is a health risk ; black mold not only can produce a harmful mycotoxin (Satratoxin-G), able to injure olfactory sensory neurons in primates, but also release millions of tiny spores that become air- and water-borne, causing lung, ocular, and skin reactions in those sensitized to them. Plasticized PVC is susceptible to fungal attack since the additives can also serve as a nitrogen or carbon source ; at least for several plasticizers, mold can degrade and deteriorate the plastic, allowing the fungus to penetrate it even further. Of course, mold development in the inner surface of the hose is a MAJOR water safety risk, and the hose needs to be flushed thoroughly to wash away mold flecks in the standing water inside. With a melamine sponge I could remove some surface mold stains or flecks, but not others or those deeper in the tube’s wall. Cleaning the surface will not remove the deeper fungal growth reaching inner layers, and is a temporary cosmetic fix : the mold returned after I removed the hose from the spigot and kept it in the garage. This is shown in my third picture, taken some months after having removed the mold-invaded hose (the hose was hung in position for the sake of taking the picture). I contacted Legacy and spoke over the phone with a Tech Support agent who told me, with the polite laconism recommended for legal cross-examinations, that the company does not deal with the mold invasion. After pressing the issue of health risks for my children, I was told “no mold was found in the inner surface of a moldy hose” Legacy claims to have cut open. Evidence of such a dissection or its results are not publicly available. In contrast, some reviews here show that mold indeed develops inside the hose. My opinion is that the company could hardly be more apathetic in relation to the potential health risk of these foreign made hoses that it sells. WARRANTY. Its terms are customer-unfriendly. A defective hose would be replaced if you, after filling a form online, cut off [a] both ends of the hose, [b] its defective part, and [c] the print band ‘Flexzilla by Legacy 5/8” ID Type 150 PSI WP’ (along with the 4-digit number), and [d] mail these pieces to Legacy at *your* expense along with the proof of purchase and return mailing instructions. No warranty coverage is provided for the quite likely possibility of the non-anodized aluminum fitting of the hose *fusing* to the brass threads of the typical house spigot due to galvanic corrosion. Also, according to Legacy Tech Support, but not legally affirmed by judicial opinion, the black mold develpment is not covered by the warranty. Tough luck for those customers who bought hoses that became Moldy Black (I bet Weems shall not trademark this color). It is censurable that Legacy imitates the three legendary Japanese monkeys, albeit changing the proverb to SEE NO MOLD, HEAR NO MOLD, SPEAK NO MOLD, and it is fair to conclude that it considers the mold development too frequent to be covered by its unfriendly penny-pinching warranty. —

Overhyped and overrated, and except for when bought at 50% off, overpriced

This hose is better in certain respects than a typical 75-foot hose purchased at price significantly less than $55, which is what I paid for this hose. If you paid the full price of $109, you paid about twice what it is worth.A couple of weeks before I bought this hose, I had bought another long hose at a local W_____t, for about the same price. That hose was touted as being exceptionally kink-resistant. Maybe it was, but the main problem I had with it is that it would twist up like a rubber band, or untwist, each time I opened the faucet more or closed it further. This new Flexzilla has some of that same behavior. It is nowhere near as bad, but there shouldn’t be any of the behavior at all, in any hose. Most all hoses (all hoses that I’ve ever personally used) are reinforced with cords of some kind, wrapped in a spiral fashion. Kind of like old-fashioned bias belts in a car tire, for anyone old enough to remember how tires were made before they were all radial. In the hose, the spiral reinforcing cords need to spiral in both directions, criss-crossing. If the spacing and density of the spiral cords are the same for both directions of spiral, the hose will not twist when the pressure inside the hose is increased or decreased. The hose will still stretch a little bit, lengthwise in particular, when the pressure increases, but the stretching will not cause the hose to twist or untwist. This happens only when the two spirals are uneven in some way, which is something that simply won’t happen in a well-manufactured hose. The other hose that I bought a few weeks earlier at W_____t was junk, so I returned it. But what about Flexzilla? Does it similarly have a tendency to twist? Actually it does, but not enough to be an annoyance. Just enough to render apparent the fact that the Flexzilla isn’t truly a high quality hose, at least not in terms of the care taken with the manufacturing. There shouldn’t be any of this twisting/untwisting effect at all, but there is. But again, it isn’t serious enough to be an annoyance like it was with that other hose.As for kink-resistance, this property is tightly correlated with the stiffness of the hose. Most any hose will stiffen up if the outlet end (the sprayer or watering gizmo) is shut off and the inlet (at the wall) is open. The water pressure will cause the hose to stiffen up. This will make it less flexible, and reduced flexibility means reduced tendency to kink. What matters is whether the hose kinks when it isn’t pressurized. And there is a direct tradeoff with flexibility. If you want a hose that won’t kink, then you have to buy a stiffer hose, and you’ll find it difficult to coil it up for storage, and it will probably be heavy. So it’s a simple tradeoff. I would judge the Flexzilla to be average in terms of flexibility and also in terms of resistance to kinking. And that’s how it should be, because otherwise it will be too still or too prone to kinking. I have one hose that’s now about 40 years old. The rubber has deteriorated over the years, and it has become more compliant. It’s very flexible, but it also kinks much too easily. When a hose gets this old, you can either replace it or put up with the kinking. Now what about that “swivel grip” business? This is pure hype. It is an very old marketing strategy to tout the weaknesses of you product as advantages. This is all this is about. At both ends of the hose, there is a loose-fitting gray section that rotates freely, i.e., unattached to the hose. At the inlet end, where you connect the hose to the spigot, this is neither an advantage nor a disadvantage. Fortunately, at that end, there is the usual ring with knurling, which is threaded to adapt to the spigot. This ring is big enough to grab onto and tighten it to the spigot. And as with every hose that I’ve ever seen, this knurled ring that has the important machine threads on the inside is not rotationally coupled to the hose. This is why you are able to connect the hose to the spigot without having to turn the entire hose, which would be impossible to deal with. All hoses are like this so far as I know. Now, the question is whether the swivel grip has anything to do with this, at the spigot end of the hose. The answer is no. It is no advantage, and no disadvantage. But what about the other end, where the end of the hose looks like the spigot and the thing you connect to it, i.e., the sprayer or another hose, has the piece that swivels? At this end of the hose, you need to have a way to grab onto the hose itself, or onto something at the end that is effectively part of the hose, in order that you will be able to tighten the thing that you are connecting to the hose. At this end of the Flexzilla, there is barely anything to grab onto, except for that silly “swivel grip”, which is utterly useless because it isn’t fused to the hose. It swivels, and because it does, it is a hindrance when you want to connect a sprayer or whatever to the hose, or remove said sprayer or other watering gizmo. It is utterly bizarre that they put this swivel thing on this end of this hose. It makes no sense whatsoever. There is no reason or advantage whatsoever to do this. All it does, in totality, is make it difficult to attach/detach watering gizmos from the hose. Fortunately, it is not difficult to slide the silly swivel grip back out of the way. When you do that, you discover that it has hidden a nice, long, friendly-to-the-grip section of aluminum, which is the outer part of the crimping by which the hose end, that looks like the spigot, is attached to the hose. But, aside from the need to move the silly swivel grip out of the way each time you need to attach or detach a watering gizmo, this aluminum will sometimes be wet, and when wet it will be slick, so even though it works very well when it is dry, it isn’t going to work well when it is wet, unless you are wearing some kind of rubbery gloves. In the ideal, the swivel grip at this end of the hose should be fused to that aluminum. Why wouldn’t they have done this? Because it would have cost more, that’s way. So they decided that instead of doing that, they would let the marketing department tout this unfortunate feature as an advantage. I’m going to try to use some of the shoe-glue stuff to glue the swivel grip at that end to the hose. If that doesn’t work, I’m going to cut the silly thing off and wrap the exposed aluminum with some chimpanzee-cousin tape.Bottom line: A decent hose, but not any great value even when you buy it at 50% off. No noteworthy flaws, and no noteworthy advantages. Just some silly marketing, and a moderately annoying and inexplicably purposeless swivel grip at the end of the hose where you attach gizmos. Even at the 50% off price, there are certainly better hoses for that price. But the difficulty is knowing which hose, among the many, this would be. There’s no way to know without trying them. Regardless, I’m confident in saying that if you are looking for a hose that is truly special and looking to buy it at a good price, this Flexzilla hose is not the hose you’re looking for, even when it is sold at 50% off.

    very happy

I have to budget every year for replacement hoses. If there’s a company out there that could make hoses that last more than two years, I would certainly pay for one. This one has good ends, and I find my grip to be pretty good when taking it off and on the water spout. But with anything in life, only time will tell. It’s a great neon green, and I think the water is drinkable out of this one too, which is great for kids and pets. I love the lime green color. I can’t believe I am saying that, but a hose color makes a difference when you don’t want to trip on it under a pile of debris, or mistaken it for a snake. It’s substantial which means it doesn’t collapse like those other cheap hoses you find at the big box store. I might get a couple more of these to replace those next. It’s not super light weight for another light weight like myself. But it’s maneagable.

My favorite long hose so far

We’ve been through so many hoses in the last 14 years, and so far this is my favorite. I bought my first one last year and it’s still working just fine. The hose is slender, lightweight, and not prone to kinks. ‘m sticking with this brand even though it’s a bit pricier. If you want a long, lightweight hose that is easy to use and will last at least a couple of seasons — we’re hoping for longer — this is worth the price. Many hoses that were lighter weight rubber kinked so often, I’d grow frustrated. Some brands had a tendency to develop bubbles/leaks on the inside. We tried heavy-duty rubber hoses for durability — to heavy and to reach 75′ or 100’ we often had to combine numerous hoses. Then we tried several brands of the slinkier type of hose that expands when filled with water — lightweight, but didn’t last long, bursting after a season or sooner. Attaching a hose wand pulled too much on the fabric.I

    Absolutely Recommend!

I found out about these Flexzilla hoses by watch a random Youtube video from a guy who owns a professional power washing company. He recommended them and given the fact that he uses hoses all day every day and if they were junk he would have to keep buying them and would eat into his profit I decided to give one a try. After buying the first one and trying it I now have bought 5 more hoses to replace everyone that I have. There’s nothing quite as frustrating as having to deal with the inflexible, stiff, ridiculously heavy and seemingly never pointed in the right direction garden hose when a sprayer tip is on there. My Wife loves them because they are much easier to use and roll up so you know all these “Top of the line” big box store hoses had to go!

    good hose – follow instructions

After reading reviews, I admit I had doubts about this hose. The Amazon recommendaton won me over. So, I actually bought three. I followed the directions and connected to the faucet, stretched each hose out and connected my sprayer with the value in the off position. Then, I turned on the water to pressurize the hose. Then, no kinks. NOTE: it did kink like crazy as I first uncoiled the hose. I undid the kinks before turning on the water. After water was on, all was good. I am concerned about the black mold reports. But, the hose is new. I’ll have to wait and see. I am not concerned about whether the hose delivers drinkable water. I use it to water the garden. And, I found the same hose in my local hardware store for $20 more. So, for now, I am really happy. If I get the mold issue, I will post again.

    Great hose

So far so good. Using this as an extension to my regular garden hose to give me 100 total feet. Didn’t feel like buying a 100ft hose as the current hose was fine. The Flexzilla is definitely lighter and easier to move around than a regular hose. It also does not kink up like a regular hose. Makes washing the car and watering plants a bit easier. Note, stretching it out when you first get it will help when putting it away. I use a hose hanger so when I first tried putting it away it kept wanting to do a figure 8. Low and behold, I stretched it out and looped around the holder easily.

    The best hose.

For anyone who has ever been frustrated by hoses that kink, or won’t roll up easily, this hose is for you. I have never had a hose I could roll up in a circle on the ground, or even on one of those hose ‘reels’. The hose feels very lightweight compared to other hoses of the same length but is MUCH easier to handle. It works just like any other hose, it’s just Way easier to handle and way easier to roll up and store away after use.

    Light and no kinks

I had a hose that was heavy and always kinks. This hose is nice and light and doesn’t kink. The instructions tell you to lay the hose out straight and then attach it to tap with a closed sprayer on the other end. You then turn the tap on with the sprayer closed to pressurize the kinks out and then open the sprayer to let the air out. You just have to do this the first time you use it. If you do this, you won’t have a problem. I don’t know how long it lasts but it’s marvelous not battling with a heavy kinking hose

Best hose I’ve ever owned, and excellent customer support

Bought 2 Flexzilla hoses about 2 years ago when we moved into our house, and they worked great. Tried other hoses when we needed a short one in a pinch and they were absolutely terrible—would crimp and bunch up when not pulled completely straight. Bought another Flexzilla hose and worked just as great as the first two. They never kink. They never leak. One did, however, fail after about two years. The end nozzle popped out of the grommet. Reached out to their service department and filled out a very simple warranty claim—took about five minutes. The next day I received a notice they had already shipped a replacement. Absolutely stellar service from a company that clearly stands behind their product. Will be buying again, and wrote this recommendation because of how good our experience has been.

I bought this hose to go with the hose reel that I ordered. I had to untangle it to put it on the reel and keep it from kinking when I rolled it up. It started out pretty flimsy, but as I used it, it learned how to be rolled up on the hose reel. It’s easy to pull out and roll back up after watering my plants. I like the color of it. =)

    It’s a darn good hose

When I first unwrapped it, I thought “I don’t see what’s so special about it….” but now that I’ve been using it for like 6 months and dragging it around/being rough, I love this hose so friggin much. It rarely kinks and doesn’t get stuck on corners. Will buy one again next time I need a hose. Seriously, get this hose.

    Performs as described!

I bought these as they were cheaper than getting a hose of equal length and size in town. I have used these hoses several times and while they are not as light as other hoses I think that durability and longevity will win out. Just be sure and follow the instructions and turn on the water first before attempting to unroll the new hose. To prevent any kinks I do this all the time anyway.

    Looks good.

My son has had a Flexzilla for years and recommended it to me. My old hose was supposed to be commercial grade but over the winter it kinked on the reel. Hopefully this one won’t do that. I put the new Flexzilla on the reel. It has a protector to keep it from kinking where you put it on. Flexible plastic. It rolled up nicely on the wall reel (also recommended by my son). Water came out the end. 100′ hose reaches to the end of my yard so I can water everything. You can buy elsewhere, but Amazon had the best price at the time I was shopping.

    Long lasting

I use my garden hoses multiple times every day, dragging them around on rocky ground and through pokey seed heads. My region is 100 degrees in the summer and below 0 in the winter. I leave them out all year. I’ve had these for 2.5 years without a single issue. They don’t kink or split, they hold up in all kinds of weather. I just bought another one to replace an old hose that I had repaired twice. I very highly recommend this product! You will be glad to have it.

I bought this hose over a year ago. It is still going strong without any issue. I roll it on a hanging roller that I had made. I don’t have an difficulty in rolling it. It is light with good pressure and rarely kinks after over year of being in the sun and cold.

Lasts a little over a year

It was very flexible and did not kink. That was great! I began using it in April 2022 and it has lasted 14 months. I do not have cold weather challenges but I do have heat. It just now sprung a leak after heavy usage, but no abuse. I tried to repair the leaky spot and we’ll see how much longer it can last.Overall the fact that it doesn’t kink makes me think it might be worth the shorter than hoped for life span.

    Food Flexible but Sturdy Hose

I am using these as small jumper hoses to connect my garden irrigation connections to my sub-irrigation planters. These are very flexible but are pretty robust. The end connections appear to be aluminum so they should last for years without rust. The come with a few stickers, but I’m not sure I’m about to bling up my planters with hose logos – but Flexzilla is obviously proud of their product. I liked these so much I ordered another longer 15ft one for the sprayer.

Flexible and supple, easy to move and coil without stiffly “remembering” the coil.

Love the feel and look of the hose. It stays flexible so it’s easy to move and coil back on the hose hanger. Other hoses I’ve used are stiff and maintain the coil and are hard to use. Where I work they have a 100 ft version of the brand and works great so I bought 2 of my own, great hose.

The only hose I’ve bought that has lasted five years

The hose resists kinks reasonably well and is not as heavy as some similar types of hoses. But the best attribute of this hose is that it still works without leaking after five years of usage. It still looks good too. My stainless steel hose and two expandable hoses all had irreparable leaks within 1-2 years. Note also that garden hoses apparently end up in landfill, as most are not eligible for recycling because they jam up recycling machinery.

I have bought 3 hoses in the past 3 years and this one is the one. It doesn’t get the creases and folds that stops or slows down the water pressure. It’s much lighter in weight and I just love the lime color. It wraps around the hose ring perfectly. I’m pretty sure I won’t need to buy any more water hoses unless of course my dog tries to eat it.

    Hose

Flexzilla makes a good product there’s no doubt. This is a quality hose that gets a lot with my other hose even tho this hose is obviously better and gets the job done with the flexibility I need in my hose. I always treat my hose with respect, by bringing them inside once I’ve done my business with them, shouldn’t leave them outside, that’s how they get ugly and rough around the edges. I love a good hose that is cost effective, nice and won’t take all the money out of my wallet.

    Good Length and Seems Sturdy

Love the 75′ Flexzilla! She’s a tough one which is just what we needed to attach to our current 50′ hose and bring up the center of our 1/3 acre. We have over 800 desert plants and were lugging pails of water up our trails. This hose is soo appreciated – what used to take 2 days now takes 2 hours. A little difficult to coil her the first time, but I noticed it was easier the second and third times. Seems strong and substantial but light weight.

    Very durable

We bought one of these hoses in 2019 to use with a lawn sprinkler. Being lazy, after the summer passed, it was left out, along with another brand of hose, in the back yard for at least a year – maybe even 2 – through rain and snow and heat. When I went to set up the lawn sprinklers this summer, the Flexzilla Garden Hose was still intact and flexible, though a little faded. The other brand of hose had cracks and had to be discarded. So of course, I replaced the ruined hose with a new Flexzilla hose.As a 61-year-old grandma, I find the Flexzilla hose light enough for me to carry, roll and maneuver easily but very durable. I would definitely recommend this brand.

Seems Durable – time will tell?

I am always in search for the perfect hose. I wanted light weight, durable, and something that wouldn’t kink or split. I have purchased several of the cloth hoses, and although an excellent idea in theory – they do NOT last. This hose although waaay to bright for my liking, really checks off all the boxes. Time will tell if it is durable over a long period of time. I would recommend this hose. One request to hose designers – Make the color blend in next time. I don’t need to find it in the dark (neon). How about brown???

    Great hose

I have spent several times the price of this hose on those flimsy, flexible hoses. They are good for many things, but don’t leave them under pressure. If you do, spontaneous leaks will appear shortly if you do. This hose isn’t as flexible but, after several weeks it appears to be far more durable. I’m not crazy about the color, but at least my wife doesn’t think it looks like a snake laying in the grass. Easy to find for sure! I would purchase it again. In fact, I already have two more of other lengths.

I actually purchased a cheaper hose and it drove me mad kinkings, etc. I have had flexzilla hoses before and they don’t kink so I finally paid the extra. That said, this one kinks and tangles. Not sure what the difference is since I seriously hit the “buy again” button, but it is not the same. Don’t know if they changed how they are made to cut costs or whatever, but the hose was not cheap and I really hoped it was going to be as good as the ones I have on other faucets. Nothing wrong with the hose

I bought the 25’ size to see if I liked it. It is a good hose. Feels very heavy duty, sturdy. Probably long lasting. For me personally, I find that it is heavy. If I had the 50’ hose I’d find it cumbersome and too bulky on my patio. I really prefer the hoses that shrink down and curl back when the water is off, but they bust too easily. I buy several every year because they are much less frustrating to deal with but more expensive when you buy as many as I do.This hose would be great if used in the right situation as it seems very durable and heavy duty.

    Great 75′ hose

I had previously purchased Wirecutter’s pick for the best non-kink hose. It was OK, but bulky and heavy. Then The Spruce had a glowing review of the Flexilla hose and mentioned that this was the best price they had ever seen for the 75′ one. Not only is it light, but rarely has kinks. High Quality

This is a sturdy, high quality hose that feels like will last for many, many years. I love the bright green color. It does not bend or kink. However, it’s very heavy and bulky to pull around. I bought this to replace an expandable garden hose that only lasted two years. While the quality was not as good as this hose it was so much easier to use. I have a small yard and this Flexzilla hose is so heavy duty and is difficult for me to use. So, it is super high quality and I would highly recommend it, but not for my small yard.

    Overall A Nice Hose

Overall a nice garden hose as I like the soft rubber but the rubber boot on the ends is worthless. I should have spent the extra money and gotten another Stanley FatMax garden hose as the hard rubber boot covering the ends are top notch. As stated overall the Flxzilla is a good hose but the soft rubber boots on the ends are worthless and keep slipping down so might as well not have them on there in the first place.. I bought two hoses a 100 ft and a 50 ft. I probably wouldn’t buy this brand again and would go for the Stanley FatMax in the future unless they fix the problems. I personally hate something that is made poor.

    Not quite as advertised….UPDATE

Purchased the 75-foot Flexilla Garden Hose – From the reviews, this hose was a real disappointment _ as you can see from the pictures, it turned into the worst coil and was a total nightmare to get to reel out – needless to say, it was very frustrating trying to unwind this hose. Will try to make the best of it for now – it’s located in my garage with the plan changed to use it as sparingly as possible.UPDATE: Since the installation I learned how best to use this hose. First you must fully extend the hose _ this will untangle the “coils” _ afterwards you can roll it up on your favorite hose reel and it should work as advertised… Changing my initial eval from 2 stars to 4 .. hope this helps

    Good hose. Lower water pressure.

I wanted to love this hose. It’s super light and I mean suuuper light making it super easy to handle. It looks very well built and I would not be surprised if it literally does last a lifetime however this hose is made of a softer material that I think results lower water pressure. I think this hose is great for general gardening purposes but I intended on using it for washing my cars as well and I noticed the water pressure was not as strong as with other hoses. I think that some water pressure is expended on the sidewalls of the hose resulting in lower pressure out the nozzle at the end. I’m keeping the hose to use around the house but won’t be using it to wash my cars.

Nice, heavy duty hose. Easy to maneuver and doesn’t kink like other hoses. It is kind of heavy, but if it lasts, that is a minor concern for me. I had gone through 3 lightweight “bullet” hoses that all failed in less than one year.

    Birthday gift.

I bought this for my husband’s birthday! He didn’t want to spend the money for a new hose but it kinked up all the time so I bought this plus a wand and he is really enjoying it. It makes watering our garden plus all around our house so much easier for him!

Nice hose but it may kink as it is unrolled

Nice, lightweight, flexible hose. It does kink (in the same place on the hose) as it is unrolled unless I am first careful to stretch it out to its full length (the length needed for the task that I am performing) before turning-on the water.

    Great product

I used this hose to plumb my boat’s raw water wash down along with a 3/4 swivel adapter, and the quality is top notch. It replaced a much flimsier double female model that leaked from day one, and that I actually paid more for.

    Great hose!

So far this hose has been as expected. It doesn’t kink at all and has held up to the Florida heat well so far. We use a hose caddy that rolls the hose up inside of a box so it is a bit protected but Florida heat doesn’t typically care about a little shade. It is a little on the heavy side for a hose but very manageable.
